RAWW Adventure Swims

“Building empowering communities for Waterwomen to connect and thrive as their authentic selves in the water and beyond.”

RAWW Adventure Swims are for experienced open-water swimmers, who would like to dive into a swim adventure to meet and connect with other women who love water. A community where women empower each other, encourage each other, and foster ongoing friendships through open-water swimming in the beautiful Canadian Rocky Mountains!

RAWW Adventure Swims

Dive into an open-water experience you will never forget with 6 other women swimmers in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

RAWW Adventure Swim is about getting outside into the mountains in the summer to experience the beauty of Canadian Rocky Mountain Lakes, and to connect with other Waterwomen open-water swimmers.

This will be our first-ever RAWW Adventure Swim, the goal is to run these adventure swims 1- 2 times a year in the summer months, for the first year we will run 1 swim adventure in August 2024 and keep the swim adventure to 1 day. Then see what unfolds in 2025 for a potential multi-day swim adventure with the possibility of 2 swim adventures in the summer of 2025.

  • Swim with other experienced open-water swimmers, connect with other women swimmers, and experience two different lakes during the day together

  • I will be swimming with you and coaching you a bit throughout our time together. I am a NCCP-certified swim coach, with 10-plus years of experience coaching pool swimming, and open-water swimming. Plus many years of experience as a competitive pool swimmer and competing in open-water events

  • A wetsuit is mandatory as the lakes are colder in the mountains anywhere between 13 - 19 degrees. and a floating swim buddy is mandatory to keep your keys in, snack, and be visible. Please remember to bring your Bear spray.

  • RAWW Adventure Swims will have 2-3 different swim locations (depending on the water temperatures) during our day together, a total distance between 4-6km

  • There will be a paddler with us during the RAWW Adventure Swims

  • The first ever RAWW Adventure Swim will be on Friday, August 23, 2024

  • Bring your picnic lunch, I will bring snacks!
